 | Kathy Strate — Co-Owner/Founder of SCEGA. Kathy graduated from San Diego State University with a B.A. Degree in Finance. With over 25 years of experience as a coach and competitor, Kathy competed in the USAG program in various regions of the United States. She was the director of the gymnastics program at Camp Pendleton, California from 1982—1984 and coached club gymnasts until 1989 when SCEGA was established. Kathy coaches primarily Level 9—Elite and has had many gymnasts competing at the REGIONAL, NATIONAL, and INTERNATIONAL level. Kathy specializes in Beam and her most exciting accomplishment was having Rachel Tidd qualify for the World Championship Beam Finals. Kathy was the 2004 Level 10 Coach of the Year and in 2003 was the Level 10 Co-Coach of the Year for Southern California. She is married to Rod and they have four children; Alexis, Ronny, Bradley, and Karli. |
 | Kathy Bader — Co-Owner of SCEGA. Kathy has been involved with gymnastics for over 24 years as a competitor and a coach. She attended Cal State Fullerton and received her B.A. in Theatre Arts and Dance. She has coached competitively in the Southern California area for the past 18 years. Kathy coaches primarily Level 7—10. She specializes in Beam and was the 2002 Southern California Level 8 Coach of the Year. Kathy is married to Dave and they have two children; Allison and Emily. |
 | Meredith Paulicivic—Head Choreographer. Meredith is a former SCEGA gymnast who received a full athletic scholarship to the University of Utah where she was a 2 time NCAA Champion as well as a 4 time All American Collegiate Gymnast. After graduating with a B.S. in Exercise & Sports Science with a minor in Sports Psychology, Meredith went on to coaching at Olympus School of Gymnastics in Salt Lake City Utah, where she was voted Coach of the Year in 1995. Following that, Meredith served as Assistant Coach at UC Berkeley, where she coached one of her athletes to a PAC-10 floor title. Meredith has danced professionally and has choreographed SCEGA’s floor and beam routines since 1989. She coaches Levels 8—Elite Vault, Beam, and Floor at SCEGA. Meredith was named Level 9 Coach of the Year the past four seasons and Level 10 in 2003. She is married to George Paulicivic Jr. and they have a son, Corbin Francis and a daughter, Blayne Elizabeth. |
 | Roberta Teixeira - Roberta currently coaches Levels 5 through Optional Levels at SCEGA. She also assists with the choreography of the floor and beam routines for Levels 7 and 8. Roberta has 29 years experience as a gymnast and coach. She graduated with a B.A. degree in Physical Education from Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1984 and moved to the U.S.A. in 1993 to learn English. Roberta was head coach of Sea Wind Gymnastics Compulsory and Optional Girls’ team from 1993 until her move to SCEGA in April 2001. Roberta was a National Elite judge for 9 years in Brazil and currently judges up to Level 10 in the U.SA. Roberta was also the coach of the Brazilian Junior National Team at the Pan American Games in1992. |
 | Craig Maurello - Craig was a Junior National gymnast and a member of 4 Regional NCAA Division 1 Team Champions while attending Southern Connecticut State University. After graduating from college he was the assistant coach at Southern Connecticut State University for the men’s team under Abie Grossfeld. He was the Head Coach at Culbertsons Gymnastique in Florida from 1982—1989 where he coached the U.S. Junior Boys AA National Champions. He owned and operated Rancho California Gymnastics. He joined our SCEGA staff in May 2002 where he coaches bars and vault for the girls’ team, levels 6-9. Craig also coaches the Level 7 and above Boys Team members on both pommel horse and rings. |
 | Marci Hauser - SCEGA is very excited to have one of its original co-founders, back coaching in the gym again. After a 6 year hiatus, Marci is happy to be coaching part time again. Marci graduated with a B.A. in Physical Education from San Diego State University. With over 21 years of experience as a coach and competitor (including collegiate level), Marci has had many gymnasts competing at the REGIONAL and NATIONAL levels. Marci coaches primarily Level 8 through Level 10, and her emphasis is tumbling, floor, and beam. |
 | Luis Garcia- Luis has been involved with gymnastics for over 25 years as a gymnast, coach and a men's program judge. He's also a certified meet director, PDP1 & PDP2. Luis moved to the United States from Bayamon, Puerto Rico in 1984 and has been coaching for the past 23 years. He has traveled to Europe and Central America as a National Team coach. Over the years he has had over 18 National Team members and many state and regional champions. Luis is the father of 10 year old Gina. |
 | Debbie Geuy - Debbie has been a coach at SCEGA for 7 years. She has been coaching all levels of academy as well as Level 4 and the junior teams, and for the past 4 years, our Level 5 team. Prior to moving to Temecula she coached the Level 5 team at Michael Anthony’s Gymnastics in Concord, CA. where she also ran their preschool program. Her first coaching position was for the Santa Clarita Aerials where she coached all levels for 15 years. |
 | Holly Hess- Holly began coaching at SCEGA in 2001. She has worked primarily with the Junior Team program and has strived to develop strong future team gymnasts. 2007 was her first year working with SCEGA's Compulsory Team. Holly was a competitive gymnast in Junior High and High School, and was a member of the 1991 South Dakota State Championship Team for Rapid City Central High School. |
 | Mike Brown - Mike is a former competitive gymnast who won two gymnastic letters in High School. He graduated from National University in San Diego with a B.S. in Airway Science with Emphasis in Electronics Systems. He retired from the United States Marine Corps after 22 years of Honorable Service. Mike works full time as a Regional Maintenance & Facilities Manager. He's been coaching at SCEGA for 6 years and currently coaches Advanced Tumbling and Pre Team 1 & 2. In addition, he has been coaching in the Level 4 program for over 2 years and has become an invaluable asset to the program. Mike is married to Lesley and has three children; Whitney, Ryan and Megan. |
