The Compulsory girls really started their season off with a bang at the 1st Prelim at SCEGA. Level 4, 5, and 6 took 1st place! There were 39 1st place champions. Taking 1st place were: Allie Gray (Vault, Bars, Floor, AA); Averi Doktorczyk (Floor); Byanna McKillips (Beam); Alyssa Lentz (Bars); Brina Elkabchi (Beam, AA); Fiona Lynn (Bars); Madison Haub (Vault, Floor); Brielle Young (Vault, Floor); Morgan Kiernan (Vault); Amari Celestine (Vault, Floor); Mari Frazier (Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor, AA); Katherine Heinz (Beam, Floor, AA); Kianna Furlong (Vault, Beam, AA); Alysen Fears (Bars, Floor); Rebecca Greenberg (Vault, Bars, Floor, AA); Zoe Zografos (Vault, Bars, Floor, AA) and Brianne Aguigui (Beam). Joining the 9.5 Club were: Mari Frazier, Tori Sedlmayer, Kianna Furlong and Zoe Zografos. Joining the 37.0 Club were Allison Raus and Jasmine Gutierrez. And scoring a 38.100 at the first meet of the season was Mari Frazier (who also swept her division). Way to go SCEGA girls!

Sophina DeJesus wins the Gold Medal on floor at her first international competition as part of the USA National Team! Sophina, at the 2009 Junior Japan International Competition in Yokohama, Japan, also took 5th place on vault, 4th place on bars and 5th place on beam. She also finished 4th All Around in the All Around competition. Congratulations Sophina! We are so proud of you!

Congratulations to Sophina DeJesus who placed 9th at the most prestigious meet in the United States: The Visa Championships in Dallas Texas. As a Junior International Elite Sophina was in 16th place after her first day of competition. On the 2nd day she soared to 9th place securing a place on the Jr. National Team! Sophina was also one of two Jr. National Team Members to be selected to represent the U.S. at her first international meet in Japan in September! Way to go, Sophina! For more information:

Takes 1st Place at 2010 State Championships!
The UNDEFEATED Level 6 girls continued their domination of Southern California by winning the State Championships. The Level 6 team members are: Jasmine Harris, Adrienne Randall, Ruby Hernandez, Erin Elkabchi, Kennedy Smith, Sofia Folwarski, Adriana Rodriguez, Tiffany Berlin, Madison Loomis, Alexis Miera & Ashley Williams.

Congratulations to Rebecca Stone, Rene Kum and Annie Hilton who qualified to the National TOPS Team! This means that they were in the top 100 gymnasts out of the 300 who qualified to the National Testing. They will be attending the National TOPS Camp in December. National TOPS Testing!
