Congratulations to Grant Murphy and Van Langjahr who traveled to Knoxville to compete at Level 9 Nationals.  Both boys did well in their first trip to the National competition where they went up against the best gymnasts in the nation.  Great job boys!

Congratulations to the Level 5-10 boys who competed at the Region 1 Championships in San Diego.  We have two Level 9 National Qualifiers!  Van Langjahr and Grant Murphy will be competing in Knoxville, Tennessee May 5-10.  Good luck boys!

The Level 5-10 boys faced some tough competition at their State Meet at SCATS Diamond Elite this past weekend.  14 out of 17 boys qualified to Regionals to be held in San Diego.  Matthew Geuy was the State High Bar Champion!  Blake Wilson made the Region 1 All Star team by placing in the top three in his age division.  Matthew Geuy will be the All Star alternate.  Scoring over a 15.00 were Dylan Scholten (P Bars); Blake Wilson (Pommel & P Bars) and Jenner Pennock (Rings).  Blake also scored a 89.200 All Around.  Congratulations boys on a successful season and good luck at Regionals!

The Level 4-10 boys traveled to Los Angeles for the Peter Vidmar Invitational March 5-7.  There were 9 event champions: Jenner Pennock swept his age division with first place on all events and all around; Juan Valle took first place on rings and Blake Wilson took first place on p-bars.  Scoring a 15.00 or higher were Nick Rogers (pommel and rings), Ryan Johnson (pommel), Blake Wilson (rings, p-bars, h-bar) and Casey Eich (vault).  Nick Rogers scored an 88.10 all around and Blake Wilson scored a 90.800.  Way to go boys!

Congratulations to the Level 4-7 boys who competed at the South Conference Championships on February 28 in San Diego.  Juan Valle swept his age division, taking first place on everything.  Nick Rogers took first place on pommel and p-bars and Blake Wilson took first place on floor, pommel and p-bars.  Blake also scored an amazing 90.200 all around and 15.00 or higher on floor, pommel and p-bars.

The Level 9 & 10 boys team faced more tough competition at the Palm Tree Classic with  injuries keeping several boys from competing All Around.  Quinn Murphy was the big winner with a first place on Rings and All Around.  Next up are the South Conference Championships in San Diego.  Good luck boys!

The SCEGA Boys faced some tough competition at the BlackJack National meet in Las Vegas.  They still had a good showing with 8 event champions and 1 All Around Champion, Blake Wilson, who scored an impressive 89.200!  Scoring over a 15.00 were: Blake Wilson (Rings, Vault, High Bar); Matthew Geuy (Rings); Casey Eich (Vault) and Jenner Pennock (Pommel, Vault).  In addition our Level 6 boys took first place. Great job, boys!

Congratulations to the SCEGA boys for their showing at the San Diego Team Cup!  The Level 5 and 6 teams took 1st place!  In addition there were 8 event champions and one All Around Champion, Blake Wilson, who scored an 88.800.  Joining the 15.00 club were Juan Valle (rings), Nick Rogers (rings), Ryan Johnson (pommel) and Blake Wilson (rings & pommel)  Next it's off to Las Vegas!

Congratulations to the Level 4, 5 &6 boys who attended their 2nd Prelim in La Habra.  The following boys were event champions: Juan Valle (level 5) Floor, Pommel, Rings and AA; Blake Wilson (level 6) P Bars & High Bar; Zachary Kirby (level 6) Pommel.  Scoring a 15.00 or above were: Juan Valle (Rings); Blake Wilson (Pommel, Rings, P Bars & H Bar); Matthew Geuy (Pommel & P Bars)  In addition Blake Wilson scored an 89.40 AA earning him a place in the 88.00 Club.

Congratulations to the Level 5-10 Boys Team who were off to Bakersfield for the West Coast Team Challenge.  There were 9 event champions and Juan Valle was an All Around Champion.  Scoring over a 15.00 were Nick Rogers (P Bars), Ryan Johnson (Pommel) and Blake Wilson ( Floor, Rings and P Bars).  Next up: the Level 4-6 Boys attend the 2nd Prelim South Conference.
Gavin LaDue, Nick Rogers, Matthew Geuy, Blake Wilson, Jenner Pennock, and Grant Murphy participated in the Region 1 Future Stars Clinic and Evaluation in Gilbert, AZ on Oct. 2-4.  Rogers, Geuy, Wilson, Pennock, and Murphy qualified for the Region 1 Future Stars Training Camp in Reno on Oct. 17-18.  Wilson made the National Future Stars Development Team, while Pennock and Murphy qualified to the National Future Stars Championships Nov. 12-14 at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado.

Congratulations to Blake Wilson who made the National Team for Future Stars!  Also congratulations to Jenner Pennock and Grant Murphy for qualifying to this year's Future Stars National Championships in Colorado.  Finally congratulations to Matthew Geuy and Nick Rogers for qualifying to the Regional Camp.  Great job, boys, especially considering this is only SCEGA's second year participating in the Future Stars program!
